“Quarantine Diary 08.04. - 05-05.20“

@noceur_diary is a digital visual chronicle documenting the experience of the COVID-19 quarantine, shared on Instagram from April 8 to May 5, 2020. The Quarantine Diary was a deeply personal project created by Gosia Jagiello, Kozue Kawamura (a florist), and Hiroyoshi Tomite (a writer), who shared a home during lockdown. It grew out of their shared experience in social isolation, offering a creative response to the challenges they faced together.

During the challenges of quarantine—boredom, frustration, and stress—the trio learned to coexist and support each other. Isolated from the outside world, they built a bond that turned quarantine into a space for creative and intellectual exchange.

With limited resources, they used photography and poetry to express themselves, finding beauty in everyday moments and a renewed appreciation for the ordinary. Flowers became a source of comfort and connection to nature, helping them release emotions.

The series "Quarantine Diary 08.04. - 05.05.20" includes 36 photographs, offering a glimpse into their journey of self-discovery and resilience during this difficult time.
